1/3/2025. Bottle from Norwich Arts Centre fundraiser following World Beer Awards. Pours clear amber bronze with a small frothy off-white head. Aroma is bready, malty, caramel, dried fruits, fruit cake, hint of marzipan. Fairly sweet, moderate bitterness. Medium body, smooth, soft carbonation. Very nice aroma, enjoyed this.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 26B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L4672081420 (BBF 27.07.18). AROMA: medium-high alcohol aroma with slight solventy notes. medium-low mixed aroma with esters (pear-drop) and maillard (bread crust). APPEARANCE: ambar color and cristal clear. medium ivory head with medium retention. lace formation. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium-low caramelly flavor, pear-drop and bread crust. medium-high bitterness with a dry finish. PALATE: meidum-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a very weird beer that resembles a mix between a belgian dubbel and somewhat a helles bock. not what is on the label.
