This delicious brew was made to showcase the range of what hops have to offer: fruity, dank, resinous joy. Made with 100% Idaho grown hops from Jackson Hop Farms- just a short jaunt from our brewery- along with a hefty portion of Crystal malts to increase the sticky malt and a teeny portion of Chocolate malt for color, this red IPA still manages to be supremely drinkable. It’s deep red color and chewy malt body play a supporting role to the huge nose of candied orange, pine, grapefruit, lemongrass and pineapple and the resinous, sticky hop bite. Beware the big, sticky hop monster!

12oz can. Deep burgundy body, unfiltered. Foamy off-white head. Big amber malt tones with a respectable enough classic Northwest hop balance. Relatively mellow carbonation, creamy on the palate. Pretty tasty, a nice hop forward Red Ale.

Can. Pours a flat reddish brown, sort of rust color, and topped with a modest ring of sandy head. Hoppy aroma; citrus and tropical fruit, a little floral. Overall quite sweet. A soft mouthfeel, again sweet with moderate bitterness. Overall a flavorful use of the hops and not overly bitter. Quite drinkable actually.

On tap at the Boise tasting room. Redish amber with a nice full dense light tan head. Malty aroma, the bitterness is of the woody husky type. Decent fresh hop flavors but not the light fresh citrusy kind. Pretty big, and lots of bitterness ending with a woody sharp bite.

There’s nothing not to like. Big, bold, beautiful ale, reddish in hue, small, tight creamy head. Wonderful hop nose, taste, even more so. For me, this was love at first taste. Excellent.

On tap at Boise pub. Pours out a amber topped with a small sand head. Nose is a nice hop mix good malt bill to match. Taste pine citrus caramel sweetness and a touch of bitterness on the end.
