(bottle, 33cl) Cloudy, golden colour with a medium-sized, off-white foamy head. Yeasty, slightly cara-malty aroma with bready notes, a touch of citrus, accompanied by peppery and phenolic spice. Sweet flavour with a tinge of bitterness, medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation. Bready and slightly sugary malty taste with traces of caramel, fruity and spicy notes; sweet malty, delicately fruity finish with present spicy notes and a well-integrated alcoholic strength. Okay. 07.II.13

10/I/13 - 33cl bottle from De Hopduvel (Gent) @ home - BB: X/2016 (2013-7)

Clear pale yellow beer, creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: citrus, bit sweet, hay, spicy, peppery, almonds and marzipan. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: some citrus, sugary, sweet grains, bit grassy, hay, spicy touch, little fruity, hint of marzipan. Aftertaste: bit sugary, citrus, sweet grains, bitter hops, almonds, nice clean ending, although a bit chemical, not bad. Alcohol is noticeable. Boo to the contract brewer or someone close him for rating the beer with a standard commercial description and way too high!
