Black Butte³ is described as a delicious equation of Deschutes Imperial Black Butte Porter aged in Black Butte Porter Whiskey casks from Bendistillery. The result is a tantalizing libation of bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, caramel, oak that is set upon a slightly smoky, roasted finish. Black Butte³ is 90% oak aged so be prepared for an aggressive beer that should age gracefully. Black Butte3 will be for sale at $25 for a waxed dipped 22-ounce bottle. 12.6% ABV 53 IBU

Aromas are roast, dark malt and black patent. Flavors are similar to nose, sweet, add in a bit of cocoa and coffee. Too much molasses for me. Otherwise not bad.

Bottle from Tavour. Pours dark brn/blk with a moderate, transient tan head. Aroma is heavily whiskey with wood and dark malt notes. Med plus body. Flavor is heavily, but very nice, whiskey, with wood, chocolate and dark malt aspects. Not really dry, but not really sweet. Heat largely stands in for bitter. Very, very good flavor.

Botle. Nose i chocolate, vanilla, coconuts. Black with lace. Tasty flavor of vanilla, chocolate, coconuts, cherry, apple. Tangy and rich.
