0.5l can @ RBNAG11. Pours a clear pale golden-yellow body with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is light, grainy hints, some watery-hops and not much more. Boring aroma. Average carbonation with a watery mouthfeel. Flavors are actually kinda cellulose-sweet. Strange stuff. Dusty hops with tones of gluten. Strange.

Bottle: Poured a pale yellow color lager with a medium pure white foamy head with good retention and some light lacing. Aroma of light corn notes with not much else in terms of noticeable characteristics. Taste is also dominated by mildly sweet corn notes with no other discernable characteristics. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not sure why the LCBO is so concerned with importing another boring lager from Ukraine.

Drank directly from a big green bottle, I presume it to be pale yellow. Smells a little like mild cabbage lager in a green bottle. Very crisp first initial impressions. Has a little of that industrial bump of an astringent beer in there. Sure seems to be higher than 4% but as the session continues it becomes more acceptable. A tad pilsner piercing follows each swig. Yes, in the middle, now its getting better. Half the bottle gone and its still quite crisp, almost refreshing, if it wasn’t for that sharp pilsner bite. As far as style goes, its listed here as a premium lager but IMHO its a pale lager. Decent finish with no real negative effects.

A blonde lager with a thick white head. In aroma, a sweet malt adjunct, grainy, light sulfury notes. In mouth, a smooth grainy mal, chalky and herbal, with a bit of an oily mouthfeel. Bottle from LCBO, tasted on Sept. 5 2011.

0,5 can. Thanks to Rune for brining it from Ukraine. Clear yellow body, with whiff of sunflower, maize and cereal. Sweet! Hints of rose petals in the flavour, but the carbonation numbs your sense of taste and palate almost immediately. Left a dry sensation and taste, which reminded of the taste of paper towel or news paper after biting your tongue. (Back to the USSR Session 17. Aug. 2010)
