[9/23/16] Bottle sample at Borefts Beer Festival 2016 in Bodegraven. Day one. Murky orange. Funky aroma with fruits, wood, some hops. Tart flavor with juicy peaches, lacto, funk, wood, fruity hops. Medium-bodied. Really good.

Bottle shared by someone at Borefts 2016. Pours muddy amber, smell reeks of stable, in a bad way. Taste is over-aged fruits, horse-stable. not good at all. What happened here, de garde ???

Thank you for sharing Mathieu87! Sampled 750 ml. bottle @ Borefts 2016. Day 1. GUSHER. Hazy golden orange, soapy white head. Nose is weirdly milky lactic, lightly urinal; taste is strangely lactic, sour, soapy, messy, not really getting the peach, muted low lemon, messy. Okay-ish but definitely not the most successful De Garde.

75cl bottle share @ Borefts 2016. Merciki Mathieu.

Bottle share. Pours a hazy orange color with a moderate sandy head. Heavy fruit in the aroma along with a little oak and funk. Moderate peach in the flavor, more funk, and a dry crisp end. I wouldn’t have guessed it was dry hopped, seems like this is less fruit forward than some of the other DG beers, but the overall flavor and funk is still there.
