An IPA, but not a classic IPA with somewhat of a Belgian twist. Two classic American hops and a new Belgian variety of hops. A bit of biscuit malt to add some 'cookie' on the tongue and elderflower to break and balance out the bitterness.

Ingredients: Water, barley malt (pale ale, Cara 50 & biscuit), wheat malt, hops (Chinook, Amarillo, exp. variety: Warneton 7784), elderflower & yeast.

Ik dacht ik geef weer eens een Belgische IPA een kans. Het is weer brooddeeg met extra gist en een stoot koolzuur.

Many thanks to kappldav123 for sharing. Grainy floral, easy to drink, refreshing with floral grainy endings. Not too deep, grainy bitter in the back.

Huge thanks to JefVerstraete for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass dark golden, small head. Fresh fruity aroma. Starts dry-malty, more and more hoppy-bitter. Light fruity with notes of lemon, some grapefruit, still fine bitter notes. Finish well balanced, dominated by dry-hoppy notes. Nice!

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een licht amberkleurig bier met een volle witte schuimkraag welke snel weg ebt. Het heeft een moutige geur. De smaak is moutig, hoppig en raar kruidig en metaal achtig. Bleh.

02/06/2018 - small tasting glass @Brouwers in 't Bos, Ename. Golden colour, with white head. Nose is malts, some hops, bit hay. Taste is sweet malts, some hops, feels like a tripel.

Thick-set, whipped eggwhite-like head over hazy ochre-orange beer. Mild hops, not overly citrussy, dough. Nice hops, non-New World, but bit raw. The balance, OTOH is quite right. I certainly couldn't get the elderflower. Quite creamy feel, good carbonation. Typical Belgian interpretatation of an IPA - but in a good way. 6/4/7/3/14

Bottle at home. Bit hazy amber with big fluffy beige head. Light toast, honey, sweet malts, paper, soft grassy hops, kumquats, dusty, bitter dried fruit peel. Medium sweet and over medium bitter. Medium bodied. Well, the name is missing some French words and this is not an IPA. It’s quite bitter though and has some decent malts. Not something I’d drink again.
