The Emelisse Sour Dark Ale Port Barrel Fermented is the first Sour created by Emelisse. This Sour has fermented in Port Barrels for over 1,5 years. This process has transformed this Sour into a real gem. The delicious fruity tones of cherry and red berries create the sweet and sour taste, with a slight hand of chocolate in the aftertaste. Wonderfully dry and thirst quenching.

Prima biertje, er is eigenlijk maar één ding dat niet oké is: de smaak.

Medium, fast dwindling rust-to-cream coloured head over deep cola-coloured beer. End of bottle solid yeast & UFO's. Portwine with a lot of fusels obvious, lactic acid, wet wood, hint @ chocolate. Sourish, lactic, wood, dark fruit; very estery and fusels. Medium bodied, slick and even a bit sticky, faint acidburn. Yet again a convincing Oud Bruin. Of course, difficult to call it as such in Zeeland.
