Our favorite porter with just a touch of the tropics. This Coconut Victory at Sea takes our popular Imperial Porter to another place. We added sweet roasted coconut to our robust porter brewed with Caffe Calabria coffee and vanilla, the perfect complement to this beer’s subtle roasty intensity. A favorite at our annual Victory at Sea Day, but it’s worth enjoying anytime you need to be transported.

Bottle. Deep dark brown with a little head. Aroma was coconut coffee and roasted grains. Taste was coffee, Mounds bar and deep roasted grains with a tad of a hoppy finish.

Smoked and sweet. I love it. Perfect coconut flavor and still strong stout flavor.

Bottled (from Alko web). Black colour with a mediumsized brown head. Aroma is coconut, some aloe vera and mild fudge to it. Flavour is coconut, some chocolate, mild lavendel as well as some roast and mild alcohol. A slight disappointment.

Bottled 0,66l (AIH128) Dark brown colour, steady brownish head and lace. Very strong perfumic sweetish coconut aroma. Medium-bodied. Smooth roasted flavour with dominant coconut. Base beer is great, taste is quite good but aroma not.

Bottle from SB. Dark brown with beige head. Atrocious aroma of chemical coconut, chocolate soap and hair schampoo. Taste slightly better with less soap, but the vile, chemical coconut still there. Horrible.

(Draught at Man in the Moon, Stockholm, 12 April 2019) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with coconut, dark chocolate, coffee and hints of rum. Malty, roasted taste with notes of chocolate, toasted coconut, coffee, roasted hazelnuts and a generous cacao bitterness. Full body, with a touch of sweetness. Lots of coconut, almost too much, but really tasty. Very nice.

Bottle on the Looe Brush ... 47537 & 826 ... big thanks to Simon 47574, 03/02/19. Black with a well presented tan head that thins to a swirl in time. Nose is coconut shavings, chocolate, dark malts, dark fruits, light spice whisper. Taste comprises dark chocolate, Bounty bar, toasted coconut, brown sugar melt, sweet malts, light roast. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light kiss of alcohol. Decent but perhaps a little overly sweet and lacking a touch of balance.

On draught at Frontier Brewing and Taproom.

Pours dark but I can see through it. Long lasting head for the high abv.

Nose is huge with the coconut, has roasted malt, vanilla, but that Coconut!!

Taste matches the smell with the addition of a blast of alcohol.

Pretty big bodied, boozy, flavourful.
