Bottle. Sweet apple, caramel, leather, wood. Like a tannic and slightly funky apple pie. Nice residual sweetness but also solid medium dry. Classic Breton farmhouse cider, lovely.

75cl Bottle shared at Camping Kost-Ar-Moor. Pours beautiful deep orange golden with lot of lacing and little head retention, little white ring remains. Sweet apples, rusty antique apples, old appleskin, mild ’Breton’ cheesy funk (very similar notes as local cheese). Medium sweet, light bitter. Thin body, lot of carbonation, medium dry character.

Corked bottle at Les Glénan, rue de Montparnasse, Paris
Hazy blond color; fine perlage. Delicate aroma of mature yellow apples. It’s not extremely dry; there is some apple juice flavor, a late residual sweetness; but the woody-astringent character is a bit too strong here. Good but not spectacular.
