Creamy-headed and softly glowing this liquid gold is quintessential drink for reminiscing the golden days of the past. With every sip the cherished, bitter-sweet memories (but OK, more sweet than bitter, as this ale is) spring to mind. A perfect glass to toast a journey down the memory lane or a great accompaniment for making new memories to enjoy later. A bit of US hops helps to balance malty character of this beer. 330ml bottle from Sophie's Beer Store. Golden yellow with a light mist, good white head. Sweet aroma of malt and marigold. Golden rosey super sweet malt character with additional caramel and floral moments. Bit too sweet, but fine overall.

On tap at Franconian Bierfestival, Nürnberg, Thursday 16th June 2022 in the company of Jude, Baz, Ursula, Stefan and Jonas. Pours light amber with a very light haze, super soft a little fudgey, nose is malty, but taste is too fudgey, malty and caramel loaded, not amazing but quite good.

Tap. Murky amber brown, low white head. Farty, fertilizer nose. Medium body, sticky, old hops, light sparkly, cheesecake finish. Not sure this is right.

Tap. Unclear amber color with off-white head, where's the goldenness? Aroma is hoppy, caramel, earthy. Taste is the same. Natural carbonation, oily mouthfeel. Слава Україні, Путин хуйло!

330ml bottle from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds and drunk at home. Mid- to dark gold and clear with a light film and ring of off-white head. Light, sugary aroma, some pomelo, some bready notes. There’s a pleasant almost pancake syrup sweetness to the initial sip, but this parts to reveal a fruity bitterness which nestles in for a long finish. Light body with medium carbonation. Not really true to the style but a lovely little beer.

33cl bottle from Chez Sophie: bottled on 18th January 2022 and drank in my home bar on 29th April 2022. Clean golden amber body, white topping. I didn't get any coriander others have mentioned, nor did it appear to have that Belgian yeasty feel that typifies that style. I did however really enjoy it's semi-sweet maltiness and subtle citrus flavour as it warmed in the glass.
