Oak, cherry, caramel malt, horse blanket, vinegar, and hay aroma. Dark red amber with giant light tan head. Minimally sweet dried cherry/raisin, caramel malt, moderately sour vinegar/Brett, and mildly bitter hay/wood flavor. Okay body.

Super clear deep copper and bronze coloured body with a thick, but very fast-dying tan head, that shows at about two centimetres tall but fades to just a thin layer on the top and barely the sides. Aroma of yeastie, bready, slightly cardboardie, but caramel malty notes with a hint of dry and grassy hops with a light dose of sweetness from some apples and stone fruits, but most of all a funky and yeastie complexity that you would expect from the brewery. Light to Medium-bodied; Dry, grassy and very herbal flavours show with some apples, pears, apricots and plums, but more of a dry and sort of airy or devoid of flavour maltiness with a lot of yeast notes and some effervescence noticeable, but a simplistic and easy-going flavour aside from the yeast here. Aftertaste shows the dry malty quality, some light fruits, a dash of very subdued and non-bitter hoppy notes with a subtle berry quality before the yeast hits and gives this some complexity at the end. Overall, an interesting, dry and herbal beer without any real complexity or pungency - this is fairly mellow throughout with only a touch of fruitiness, light hops and malts - the only thing here really that provides flavours is the yeast strain, but that's not too pungent, either. Decent enough to sample and perhaps I kept this too long, but the beer was very disappointing, sadly. I sampled this 50 cL bottle, purchased from Habersham Beverage Warehouse in Savannah, Georgia on 04-May-2018 for US$9,99 sampled at my house here in Washington almost three years later on 22-February-2021.

Bottle pours a dingy murky light amber, Small light tan head. Tart woody malt flavors and aromas. Like a flanders I suppose but murky and not as clean and acidic. A bit lack luster but not unpleasant.

Bottle drunk 4/1/17.
Bright ruby-mahogany mix with a good clarity and large, beige head atop showing moderate retention for the style.
Sharp, spoiled fruit with odd chemicals and earthy, bland, strange off-notes mix about in the nose. Oh boy...Some acetic acid and very sweet, almost candy-like, cloying sugars are present as well. But there’s clearly something off here. Just too much perfume, ester, acid, sharpness; not even like it’s got too much acetic acid in it, just unclean.
In the mouth it’s again off with odd, bready, earthy, dirty notes mixing with sharp, boozy, sweet and sour notes and leaving too much candy, almost saccharine-like sugar on the finish. Even begins to seem bile-like. Very strange mix of unpleasant flavors. Moderately carbonated with an oily texture. Poured it down the drain after a few small sips.

Half liter bottle. Hazy dark red-copper. Beautiful. Large fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of cherry pie filling, tart cherry, mild umami and funk. The taste is tart cherries, funk, cherry pie filling, pepper, lemon, dandelion. Medium bodied, lingering tartness, highly carbonated. SOlid.
