Our classic oatmeal stout is back! Dry yet creamy with robust and elegant aromas of chocolate, nuts and fruity coffee beans. Perfect balance between initial sweetness and a somewhat drier finish.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker (I presume). Pours hazy black with a lasting, thin, beige head; little lacing. Aroma of roasted peanut, pistachio, mocha, fondant, earth, dry fig, toasted brown bread. Medium malty sweet onset, chocolatey, coffee & cream but toned down by a nutty edge; very slightly soy-like umami, restrained; light roasted bitter middle has coffee, an earthy tone & hint of fig. Dryish, herbal & earthy hoppy finish, quite bitter, toasty, lingering fondant. Medium body, oily texture, soft to fizzy carbonation. Balanced, good stuff.

Black color, beige and creamy head, good retention. Aroma with roasted malts, licorice and black chocolate. Flavor is quite similar as aroma with good presence of roasted malts. LIght bitterness in the final, licorice hints, dry mouthfeel.

Bottle. Color: Very dark brown, almost black. Light brown head. Taste: Pretty sweet, roasted malt, milk chocolate, lactose. Full body, below average carbonation. Nice, not too strong hopbitterness. Pretty dry mouthfeel at finish. Smooth and creamy beer. Nice one.

bottle. pitch dark, small brown to light brown head. aroma of roasted malts, sawdust, a lot of grinded coffee, dry dark chocolate, faint sourish lacto. flavor is hard roasted malts, very dry feel to it, bitter malty notes, oats. A very dry and non-sweet stout, still creamy, oats add a tiny bit of sweetness, but it is tiny. Very flavorfull for the ABV. imo super well done old fashioned stout.
