Bottle from Drinkshop. Assertive deep roast, coffeeish, lightly chocolatey. Silkiness is halfway between oatmeal and traditional stout. Light light astringency from roast grains present. Moderate estery fruitiness, yeast-derived. Hops in the background. Quite good one.

Bottle from Great Grog. Black body with a medium beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of beef jerky, cocoa powder and Marmite. Flavour of roasted malt and Weetos ash. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Full flavoured and meaty. Tasty.

33cl bottle. Poured pitch black with a thick off white head. Roasted malty, woody, hoppy aroma. Some dark chocolate, some ash, coffee, roasted malt. Smooth, lean finish. Medium bodied. Easy and tasty.
