Draught, 4.8% at the brewpub. Weak citric aroma, more like pale lager than pale ale. Clear golden colour. Nice big stable white head. The flavour has a very mild fruitiness, probably from the yeast, and a little sweet, flowery fruitiness, probably from the hops. Very clean for an ale. A little yoghurt citric note in the finish, refreshing.

Hopfig-wässriger Antrunk, frisch, etwas herb mit knackig bitterem Unterton. Auch im Mittelteil tritt die Bitterkeit weiter in den Vordergrund, das Bier im Allgemeinen wird aber wässriger. Leicht herber Abgang, etwas hopfig. Ok. Test vom 13.8.2008, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 11,8,8,7,-,8 - 8,15

Draught @ L’Isola della Birra, Milan, Italy. Unclear medium yellow color with a average, frothy / creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, moderate hoppy, grass, citrus, grapefruit. Flavor is light to moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a average to long duration, with a nice dry finish. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. ;o)) refreshing and lovely hoppy (051107)

Draught Original ale, was 7.5 / 8 7 8 6 8 Thick, voloptuous head, slightly yellowish, leaving some lace over near-clear orange-golden beer. Nice hoppy nose, as with fresh UK hops. A bit toaste, dry aroma of excellent malts. Very British. Nice, dry hoppy taste, really very good. Ends lightly sweetish with a light corn flakes flavour. Very refreshing, just a bit burning sensation. There’s a retronasal flavour/aroma that reminds me of Belgian yellow asparagus tips. Light to medium body. Excellent beer, more than worth going out of one’s way for.
Pilsener version bottled Small white head, fast going over clear golden beer. Herb nose, some "hot" pale malts, popcorn without the butter. Dry-ish, faintly hoppy bitterness with a sweet finish - pale malts with restsugars. Light body, undercarbonated and a tad slick. Or: how to turn a remarkable beer into a mainstream pils.

2014-02-06, draught at the pub, via Golgi, 8-4-8-4-17=41
Pale blond color, just hazy, with generous rocky head. Great noble hops, powerful but elegant grassy character, with some hidden crispy malts.
Excellent. This is serious stuff.

Blond. Head. Very nice hop aroma, Hallertau? Good malt flavor, round, although just a bit crispy, and with some cereals; medium-strong bitterness; there are some cereals and grass in the end, but I think it could be a bit more aromatic.

Pale yellow color. Light and dry, bitter enough and lightly hoppy. A reasonable pilsner.
