Draught @ SKAAL Sønderborg. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt and coffee, with estery touches and hints of chocolate. Bitter, intensely roasty flavour with pronounced notesnof mocha and touches of yeast and malt. Bitter, roasty and hoppy aftertaste. Well, bot bad but a tad too much coffee, I’d say.

Draft @ BxlBeerFest 2019, day 2.

25 June 2019. At Dok Brewing Company, Ghent. Shared with Anke. Pours hazy brown with a quickly thinning, tan head. Nitro? Aroma of cold coffee, fondant, chestnut, toast, biscuit, dried fig, earth, tree bark. Taste is light malty sweet, restrained dark fruits, a bit chocolatey, slick & soft nuttiness going over a roasted bitter core of earth & coffee ground. Dryish, toasty, herbal hoppy finish, black tea-like with lingering coffee, bordering on mocha. Light to medium body, slick to watery texture, soft carbonation. Apparently the keg was at an end, but then again I would have expected more, certainly to Dok's standards. Too weak all in all, so disappointing, I hate to admit.
