Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich grapefruit, hops, flowers, pineapple, malt and has a nice long citrus finish. Lovely.

Cask. Fat Cat, Sheffield. Can’t recall the last time I had a Thornbridge beer on cask. I need to get out more. Straw colour. Soft haze. Thin, super dense, lacing, lasting, white head. Nose has sweet and spicy grain. Lime and lemon cordial. Some leafy herb. Some white pepper. Taste is fairly dry, with some peppery spice. Lightly bitter. Clean and drying on the palate. Light bitterness to finish.

2nd Nov 2017: cask pint in The Three Fishes, Shrewsbury. Golden pour, clear and clean, white head that hung around. Citra hop doing what it does best: making everything smell and taste of bloody citrus fruits (peachy). Not a huge fan of the hop myself, but I like to give a new beer to me a try if possible. Scored objectively.

ABV: 5.2%. Light unclear medium yellow colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate hoppy, citrus, lemon, fruity hops, light zesty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, zesty, citrus, sweet malt, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20171013]

Pure white rocky head stayed on a translucent, light golden, still body. Punchy aroma of citrus, Tropical fruits & garlic. Medium bodied. Nicely balanced carbonation. Feels soft on the back. Malts hints to the fore but this quickly followed by a blast of citrus, Tropical fruits, Citra hops, grapefruit & well balanced finish.

0,33 l bottle. Pours light yellow with small white head. Plenty of citrus on the nose, oranges, tropical fruit, light malt aroma. Taste is light to medium sweet complemented with light bitterness. Body is light to medium, just solid enough, texture is slick and carbonation average to lively. Finish is on the dry side, with more expressed bitterness. Orange and citrus is present all the way throughout the beer from aroma to finish. It does not pack as much citra punch as some citra single hopped beers, it is nicely rounded and very drinkable though.

Bottle. Not quite clear yellowish orange with a white head. A little hay and light biscuit under loads of bitter oranges, a fair bit of tropical fruit (guava, some sweet pineapple, some herbs. Just enough (quality) pale malt presence to feel substantial, then all fruit until a dry bitter finish. Lime creeps into the citrus there too. Good.

On tap at Haand Festival. A yellow-orange beer, mostly clear in the glass, with a finger-thick white head. The aroma is very Citra-ish, lemon, some orange, and pale malts in the back. There’s a nice bitterness in the mouth, it’s quite dry and nicely carbonated, with biscuity pale malts as a backdrop for the lemony and lightly orangey flavors. Long lemony finish. A refreshing and tasteful beer showcasing Citra in a very nice way. 160528

Bottle from Eltham Wines. Bright gold pour with a white head. Lemon juice, grapefruit, brussel sprout and parsley aroma. Flavours of bitter citrus and bitter herb. Sharp bitter citrus. Not bad.
