Calanda Glatsch — Rätoromanisch für Eis — ist ein ganz spezielles Lagerbier. Es ist deshalb so speziell, weil wir bei eiskalten Temperaturen reifen. Der innovative Brauprozess und das reine Wasser aus den Bündner Bergen verleihen dem Bier seinen erfrischend unbitteren Geschmack. Die Erfrischung kann man aber nicht nur schmecken, sondern auch sehen: Die Thermo-Schneeflocke wird blau, sobald das Bier die perfekte, eiskalte Temperatur hat.

Appearance: Pale, yellow golden, translucent. Clear. Decent, fizzy white head. Aroma: Pale malt, light fruits. Floral. Taste: Pale malt, slight fruitiness. Hint of hops, floral, slight sweetness. 0.5 l can bought in Geneva Airport and brought home to rate (so probably has two unbeatable records: the most expensive lager I've ever bought (2200 HUF) and the worst value for money) clear golden colour, medium sized dense and quite stable snow-white head - so far so good...but unfortunately this is the last point of great experiences with this beer...because the aroma and the taste has strong disturbing metallic notes...otherwise a grassy-grainy lager...

0.5l can from coop in zurich. pours a clear golden with a frothy white head. aroma of hay, grass, grains. flavour of grains, hay, apples. maybe a bit smoother and maltier than the regular one, but nothing extraordinary.
