Bottle from Raynville Stores. It pours clear mahogany brown with a medium, lasting white head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, woody, brown bread, dried fruits, raisin, fruit cake, warming spice, gingerbread, banana bread, malt loaf, glace cherry and Bakewell tart. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, chewy, toothy, brown bread, malt loaf, dried fruits, warming spice, ginger, clove rock, raisin, sultana, cherry, plum, fruit cake, banana bread, leafy, prickly booze, touch of tannin and leather with a drying finish. Medium+ body and moderate carbonation. Rounded and flavourful. Nice weizenbock.

500 ml bottle. Pours dark brown copper with a foamy head. Dates, dried figs and raisins, clove, banana, roasted nuts. Fruity sweetness, mild dryness. Full to medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, mild dry sweet finish. Pretty nice, would like to have this in Winter again.

Old fashioned Schnapp-Flascherl: Deep ruby-amber coloured, hazy, medium-sized and stable creamy off-white head, moderate sweet fruity and (wheat-) malty nose with a very mild vinous touch; moderate to solid sweet flavour with a delicate sourish touch, nearly full bodied; lingering sweet and mildly bitter fruity-vinous finish with a slight boozy touch in the aftertaste. Good, but not great...

Swing top bottle from trade with Rauchbierlover, many thanks. Dark brown with huge off-white head. Aroma of caramel, banana, wheat, clove. Taste, caramel, chocolate, banana, clove. Light burning alcohol. Still enjoyable.

50cl swing top bottle. A hazy orange brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of strong caramelized malt, wheat, ripe banana and clove. Taste of clove, ripe banana, yeast, caramelized wheat malt.

Dunkler Weizenbock mit 7,3 % Alkohol und unbekannter Stammwürze. Coole altertümliche Bügelflache (Maurerflasche). Geschmacklich findet sich Malz (natürlich), etwas Rotwein und Spuren von Kräuterlikör und Vanille. Ab dem Mittelteil eine angenehm bittere Note, die zum Teil vom Alkohol kommt. Nicht zu viel Kohlensäure. Gute Substanz, trotzdem noch süffig. Ein sehr anständiger Weizenbock.

500ml bottle. Pours deep reddy brown with a large head. Aroma is bready clove and toffee. Taste has spicy clove and apple to start and a wheaty banana finish. Some toffee on the aftertaste.

Kössel Bräu Mariator, Flasche von Hopfen & Malz im Wedding. - Dunkles Kupfergoldbraun, hefetrüb. - In der Nase fettes, schokoladig dunkles Weizenmalz, Brotkruste, feine Nelke, reiche obergärige Hefearomatik, feine Kräuter. - Antrunk üppig und schwer dunkelweizenmalzig mit schwarzer Brotkruste, Mokka, Karamel und Weinbrandpraline, aufgelockert durch feine herbe Orangenschale, dezente Banane und ätherische Kräuter. Milde, tiefe Restsüße. Milder rezent, weich, likörartiger wärmender Alkohol. Im Abgang fein malzbitter und ätherisch hopfenherb. - Sehr schwerer, kernig dunkelmalziger und knispelig bitterer Weizenbock. Außerordentlich gut. (13.11.2020.)
