Prost zesamme!

500ml can. Pours hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma is yeast, fruity, spicy. Taste is light sweet. Light bitter finish. Light bodied. My first German kölsch in 10 years, and it’s a decent one.

Bottle brought by houseguests, thanks Daniel! Light haze, yellow amber, grainy nose with spicy hops and a hint of malt. A bit of astringency, pretty malt-ish on the tongue. It's mildly hopped, earthy, big grain, alright beer and easy drinking.

Very slightly aged Very good, ultra-dense whipped eggwhite-like head over all in all clear (?) beer, finely carbonated. Malt, cookies, whiff of noble hops. Artichoke, short whiff of pickles. Very malty, pale malts, bit neutral if enlivened by good carbonation. Quite restrained restsugars, dry summer grains. Light body, light gristslickness, good carbonation. Not that much difference with the ordinary Kölsch - might be more outstanding with a bit livelier yeast. Txs to Stef!

Tap at MBCC, day one.

Poured from the tap @ MBCC 2023 red session (finally adding my notes). Hazy yellow with white head. Nice wheat, balanced, enjoyable.
