Can. Black pour. Aroma of hazelnut, chocolate, peachy bitter hop, malt and caramel. Taste has soft hazelnut, bitter hop, grapefruit, caramel, chocolate malt and oat. Nice, bit like a nutty black ipa.

Draft. A brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, nuts, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, nuts, and roasted malt, leading to a bitter finish.

Keg at The Merchant, Canary Wharf, 27/06/19. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige head. Nose is mellow roast, chocolate, raisins, dried fruits. Taste comprises light roast, touch of Cadbury fruit & nut, chocolate, dried fruits. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stout ... not as good as usual for this series.

Can at home in Hackney. Pours deep brown with a foamy beige head. Tasty stuff, with notes of milk chocolate, a little earthy bitterness, raisins. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more bitter cocoa, nips of ash, orange peel. Interesting stuff. Good.

Süffiger, leider wässrig kaffeeartiger Beginn. Laktose, trocken, milde Herbe. Malzig herber Mittelteil, weich, mittellanger Abgang. Nett. 10/11/10/10//10
