Fat på Örebrewfest 2019, session 1. Backlog. Följer ganska mycket i samma bana som Mikkellers andra extrema skapelser. Det här är väl inte jättekul egentligen, annat än en munfull.

50cl can from Mikkeller Beer Club. Poured golden color with a white head. Heavy sweet with ripe fruits, hops and malts. Way too sweet to be enjoyable. Bitterness is there, but heavy and boozy still. Caramel and resin. Over the top.

Tap at Unorthodox. Wow. There is light warmth rather full body and moderate caramelly sweetness, but never would I thought that this can have such a crazy alcohol content. That much said, the bitterness is second to caramel. 3000 theoretical IBUs do not manifest as more than mediocre perceived bitterness. Hops character is also a bit muddled - I get som general fruitiness, exotic, resiny, piney. More interesting than tasty, but still good.

50cl can. A clear deep amber beer with a beige head. Aroma of strong caramelized malt, resinous bitter hops. Taste of strong caramelized malt, intense resinous bitter hops, pine needles, sweet apricot.

Sampled from 0.5 l can, best before August 2020. Clear, deep amber with a white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-resiny aroma of pine, mango, honey and orange jam. Rather sweet, moderately bitter, fairly resiny and gently fruity taste of pine, mango, orange jam and some honey, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, fairly resiny finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Not nearly as bitter as expected, a pleasant drop nevertheless.

Süßlich brotiger, bitter-fruchtiger Beginn. Karamell, Alkohol, dunkler Hopfen, schwer. Unausgewogen, einfach zu viel Alkohol. Okay, mehr nicht. 9/8/8/8/10/8

Bärnstensfärgad med stort, tätt skum. Söt doft av karamell och apelsinmarmelad. Fyllig och sötklibbig. Den stora sötman lyckas nästan dölja spritsmaken.

Can from MikkellerBeerMail. Pours clear deep amber with large white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity with notes of orange, dried apricots, wine and yogurt. Taste is very sweet and medium to very bitter. Body is oily with fizzy carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with notes is mandarin, sweet orange juice, sweet fruit yogurt and sweet desert wine. Not as bitter as one could expect from the title and way too sweet for my taste
