Where: Del Haize, Waterloo. At home after watching the reenactment of the 1815 battle.
Fast disappearing foam.Red brown.
Cherry aroma. Ripe cherry flavour, weird ending. Some artificial flavours going on. Some acidic artificial lemon.
Body is average.
Observations: I was expecting a better beer. Too many non conventional and artificial flavours. More enjoyable as soda than a pure beer. Is quite drinkable though

Deep red colour, pink foam. Nose of cherry candy, syrup, lots of sugar and sweeteners. Also metallic.

Extrem künstlicher Geruch. Süßer künstlicher Beginn, viel Kirsche, dumpfer Alkohol. Trocken, unrund, mittellanger Abgang. Abgelehnt. 9/5/4/5/7/6
33cl bottle. A clear purple red beer with a white head. Aroma of artificial sweet cherries and sugar. Taste of artificial sweet cherries, sugar, no beer.

Zoetzurig.

Pale pink head, dense, over ruby, clear, big-bubbled beer. Syrupy nose, childrens’ cherry sweets, cherrylaurel (as in medicinal preparations), bay leaf. Again this cherrylaurel flavour/retronasal aroma, if seriously diluted compared to cough syrups. Way too artificial by half for a kriek, the fruit is far away. Some caramel. Bit sticky, leaving a film on the mucosae. Feels better carbonated than it looks. Medium bodied. Again such a one. AND WHERE THE F*** IS IT BREWED? 5/4/3/2/8

20/III/17 - 33cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck (Vichte) @ home - BB: 8/IX/18 (2017-396)
Clear bright red beer, small creamy pink head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots and lots of cherry candy, sugary, sweet. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: pretty sweet and sugary, candy, cherry flavours, little lemony. Aftertaste: artificial flavourings, candy, sugary, slightly bitter, bah.

Bottle at home. It mentions lambic on the label so it must be good! Clear ruby red with fizzy light pink head. Lots of marzipan, sweet cherry lemonade, bitter herbs, alcohol, light spicy yeast. It’s a lot like a typical sweetened artificial kriek but with added alcohol and some spicy and herbal notes. Lots of alcohol no some plastic in the finish. Not much of an improvement on regular shit kriek. Body is on the fuller side.
