Bendorf amber beer is red! It mixes the caramel side provided by the malt used with the powerful aromas of hops. A citrus cocktail on the nose and on the palate with moderate bitterness. EBC 32.

Not a red ale at all, it seems to be more an American pale, generously bitter, citrus, malty and a bit sweet, 08.06.19, at Epalinges, buying it during one of my trip in Colmar.

Hazy deep amber colour, tall froyhy off-white head, half-way lasting, good lacing. Aroma pale malt, peach, apricot, orange, some candy sugar. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, fruity, grainy. Lingering dry bittersweet aftertaste, orange peel, earthy notes. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, bit coarse but nice.

Pours auburn from the bottle. A creamy, white head lingers. Mild berry notes and a touch of caramel dominate the aroma. Taste is mildly bitter with light fruity notes. Medium body. Not a lot of depth. Okay.

[Thank you for sharing Sebletitje + tderoeck!][330 ml. bottle sampled @ Vini, Birre, Ribelli 2016] Murky orange with no head. Nose is oily sweet & stale orange peel, malt. Taste is stale oily hop, caramel, odd minor funk, bread, caramel, low cardboard in the finish. Poor oily stale taste & body. Meh.

Huge, dense yellow/cream head over well-carbonated copper-amber beer. Again very fruity hops’ nose, citrus, passion fruit, lychee, mango. Little bit cheesy, bit caramel too. Bitter-fruity, underlying sweet & caramelly malts for a succesfull balance. Bitterness is ever so slightly metallic, but nowhere disturbingly. Citruszeste. Medium bodied, very carbonated, spritzy feel. Long-lasting flavours, getting drier and fruitier than the main taste at the same time. Another excellent ale by Bendorf. Respect!
