A thirst-quenching sour wheat beer fermented with Lactobacillus.

Taste: An assertive, but not overwhelming acidity dominates the first taste, balancing out the biscuity malty body. Though sharp, the carbonation lifts the tartness and cleanses the whole palate, making it a thoroughly sessionable — even sauna-able — beer.

Bottle from ICA Maxi, Östersund. A fairly decent berliner weisse. No overall flavour, save eldeflower. Not strongly sour.

Thanks Hrabren! Poured a misty golden body with a white head. Funky, tart aroma, with some hops, citrus peel, quite classic. Light tart taste, citric, refreshing, light peachy touches, ending dry. Very much a solid berliner. Ok, I admit it... the label bought me. :D

(Bottle, from Bottl3.5hop, Stockholm) Golden yellow colour, slightly hazy, with brief white head. Malty, sourish nose with notes of dough, white bread, citrus, lemon and a lactic acidity. Fruity, tart taste with lemon, grapefruit, white bread, gooseberries, unripe fruit and a dry and tart finish with hardly any bitterness. Light body, dry. Tasty and refreshing. Quite nice.

Bottle at a tasting. Very interesting, tasty, complex. Moderately sour, lactic. Ample citrusy and fruity character, which makes me surprised by the fact that there are no special ingredients involved. Med-low cola aroma and flavour too. Light watermelon in the finish. Good one.
