Super muddy brown coloured body when held up to a light with a perfectly dense tan head that has plenty of sound as it fizzes. Aroma of nice sour grapes, malt, yeast, caramel and a bit of nuts - very nice. Medium-bodied; Strong assertive malt in the flavour with a strong nutty and caramel taste in the mix. Aftertaste is fairly mild, not too much poking through except for some caramel and pit fruit type tastes. Overall, a good beer, but not amazing. Regardless, still really good to try, and worth getting if you are over on this side of the pond. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Beer Mania in Bruxelles, Belgium on 17-November-2008, sampled at home in Washington on 15-March-2009.

Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of berries and alcohol as well as a light note of dusty hops. The flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of berries. The body is thin - I’m suprised to learn it is 7% ABV.

Hazy color, dark red-amber; the head reduces to a thin layer. Soft caramel and chocolate aroma. Some caramel flavor, sweetish even if the body is not too thick, with a light pleasant fruitness. Not bad.

Bottle, 7%. Muddy brown/orange colour. Small light brown head. Malty aroma. The flavour is malty, sweetish, brown sugar. A little oxidized, creamy, perhaps butterscotch, but just little enough to be good.

Bottle: Poured a chocolate brown color with a carbonated, you can hear the bubbling, off white head. The aroma is a sweet citrus/orange smell with light spicy tones. Sweet caramel malt flooded my mouth, but shortly left a bitter spice finish.
