a: dark brown coloured body | big oily dark brown head
a: tart raspberries | licorice | deep oatmeal
f: soured | roasted grains | cacao
t: funky yeasts | big cherry notes | thinnish finish
o: interesting | flavourful & complex | opened because it exploded while I was sitting next to the can (the funkiness is probably why - I don't think it's supposed to be this sour, but it's nice to try!)

Aromas are roast, dark malt, coffee, cocoa, and a little molasses. Flavors are similar to nose, excellent balance between bitter, sweet and carbonation. Good fresh coffee flavors come out a little more. Good body with a little alcohol at the end. Nice drinking beer.

Release #57, 12.2%. Pitch black pour, large mocha head. Rich cocoa aroma, huge roasty malts, loads of rich , freshly roasted dark coffee. Strong woody barrel notes with some semi sweet vanilla, and subtle whisky. Silky, full bodied mouthfeel, with a perfect carb. The finish is incredibly roasty, huge coffee notes, semi sweet cocoa, and some strong barrel. Incredible stout.

At a Beermalade tasting. Med-thin body, low carbonation. Lacks both richness and intensity, but is pretty good. Shitloads of coffee, kinda hard to find anything else here. Good but not great. High sweetness, medium bitterness. Okay.

Can from HavnensVinOgTobak. Pours opaque black with medium dark brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, ground coffee, cocoa, liquorice, soy sauce and vanilla. Taste is medium to very sweet, medium bitter, light acidic and light salty. Body is creamy with light carbonation. Finish is long and balanced sweet and bitter with intense roasted malt, ground coffee, sweet liquorice, cocoa, soy sauce, vanilla and hints of bourbon whiskey. Nice beer but a bit overrated in my opinion.
