bottle extremely black. pous very dark, small dark brown head. old fashioned very hard roasted malty imperial stouty aroma, finer notes of bourbon and barrel, licorice, frosting sugar. Aroma is really super duper nice with no caramelly or the like off flavors, quite clean very extremely strong smelling imperial stout. first looking at abv now, I am not surprised to see it at 14.8% booze well hidden. the brew is intense enough in flavor to carry 14.8% nicely in the aroma. Flavor is dominated by too much frosted sugar sweetness unfortunately, but apart from that, there is a lot of imperial stoutiness going on, warming alc, wood, licorice, of course roasted malts, bourbon. If they had notched down the sugary sweetness just a bit or three, this would have been an almost unfathomably great imp stout.

5 oz. Draft. Aroma and flavor are a mirror. Cocoa, vanilla and bakers chocolate all sits on top of mild oak and bourbon. Bourbon burn is here a little bit, but doesn’t distract from the flavor. ABV isn’t hugely noticed either. Pretty nice!

Bottled 03.10.21. More Prairie pastry that's not brilliant, but quite delicious nonetheless. Boozy, bourbon and sweet. Chocolate, vanilla, and something a bit cookie like fight for attention, with the chocolate winning. Not super Oreo, bit chaotic.
