Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home Tuesday 28th March 2023 listening to Billy Nomates before the gig tomorrow, having Chicken and Coffee Koftas. Pours dark brown, good clarity, easy drinking despite the abv. A nice malty sweetness, there is a light bitterness though, spot on carbonation, a little toffee.

50cl bottle, from a Euro trade with Koelschtrinker. Thanks! This was an extra bottle he sent me, I was aware of the age of the bottle. BBE 08/2008. Poured brown in color with a thin off white head. Mostly raisin and plum notes in aroma and flavor. Molasses and sweetness. Still drinkable, but clearly the age has done its job.

Dark amber, little tanned head. nose is oxidized, boring old sweet malts, big sugar, huge leaves, sweet, stale beer. Taste is oxidation, sugar, old leaves, stale malts, sugar, stale beer, sugar, old malts. Body is oxidized leaves, sugar, stale. Passable but feels to old with clear signs of age & oxidation. This was very likely much better younger.

Bottle shared @ Sebletitje’s Farewell tasting. Clear amber color, almost no head. Smell and taste malts, a bit dusty, slightly sweetish. Hmm, don’t really like it. Meh.
