Pours dark brown from the can. The tan crown is creamy and stable. Aroma is chocolate and toffee with strong roasted notes. Taste is sour sweet with notes of roasted coffee, caramel and toast. Finishes smooth. Palate trends watery. Still, a surprisingly good find at the Mercator in Bovec, Slovenia. Updated 10/2017: light drop from 3.5 to 3.4 after further tastings

330ml bottle, thanks to MarkoNM. Pours black with a medium beige head. Aroma is sweet berries. Taste is weak dark lagery flavours, a bit flat. Not a lot going on really, a tad strange with an odd sweetness, and tastes a little past its best.

Smooth-fresh, slightly roasted, but not much deepness. The mainpart is smooth, fresh, easy to drink, but still nice. Hints of roast, hints of bitterness. Quite dry till the end, not too much sweetness there. Ok!

Bottle - country #90 with thanks to RobertDale! Pours clear ruby black, medium creamy brown head, dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is ruddy, cocoa, molasses, pumpernickle. Flavor is light sweet and light bitter, roasty, molasses, dark breads. Medium body. Pretty solid, actually.

0.33 bottle in Beli konj, Slovenske Konjice, Slovenia. Pours black with off-white head, diminishes quickly. Hardly distinctive aroma of roasted malts, some sweetness and bitterness, roasty, doesn’t linger, some unpleasant iron aroma in the finish. I don’t recommend it.

Pours a dark brown, almost black and clear. It’s topped with a medium beige head and a not so good retention. Aroma is mild and features some roasty notes and a bit of coffee. Taste is sweet and roasty, lacks some hop character which can only be felt a tad in aftertaste. Super light and a bit watery. Still, decent I guess.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks kerenmk. Dark brown to black with a tan head. Aroma of caramel, some roast and some nice smokiness. Sweetish flavor with caramel, nuts, nice smokiness, mild roast and toast and a drier finish, a bit bitter, with an ashy hint. Medium-bodied. Surprisingly nice.
