Bottle. Dark brown color with a small light brown head. Aroma, of roasted malt with hints of caramel. Taste, caramel with coffee, strange finish. Not for me.

Bottled (BB 06/2009). Deep dark ruby color, small espresso head. Coffee, lactose and grassy hops in the nose. Quite flat. Dark toasted malts, sweet caramel malts, This is a kind of ok, but beer feels like a fake and artfical. Some similarities to Nokian Panimo’s dark beers.

Bottled (thanks Bov!). Very deep amber colour, small brown head. Aroma is mild roasted malts, some caramel and also a bit barnyardy notes. Flavour is burnt sugar, syrup and some quite caramelly dark malts. Rather sweet dunkel, even though 5.2% feels like alot less.

33 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a deep amber glare and a lacing tan head. Aroma is breadish malt with a mild fruity notes. Flavour starts breadish towards roasted malty with a light frity sweetness showing through. Fruity and bitter finish. Very tasty and classic bohemian dark (although from Slovenia).

New review: 0.33 l bottle that poured dark brown, red toned body with medium sized ocher head. Aroma of coffee and a bit of caramel malt. Bitterish flavor, with coffee dominating but caramel/roasted sugar sweetness balancing the brew pretty fine. Medium bodied. Pleasant and long caramel and coffee finish. Now it’s just a fine dunkel. It seems they’ve changed recipe to somewhat more similar to Lasko Dark, as Crni Baron was better for sure. Old review: 0.33 l bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black clear body with small short lasting brown head. Nice. Aroma of roasted caramel, some coffee and brown sugar. Very balanced flavor. Medium but nice carbonation, long pleasant half sweetish half bitterish finish. Much better dunkel than Lasko Temno. More such things are missing on our market. 6/4/7/4/15=3.6

Leicht süßer Geruch, wässrig, plörrig. Mild malziger Antrunk, kratzig. Etwas süß, etwas brotig, viel zu mild, kaum an ein Dunkles erinnernd. Unharmonisch, dazu noch der lasche Nachgeschmack. Test vom 30.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 5,5,5,4,7,5 - 4,95

Dark brown colour. Longlasting thick beige head. Sweet malty aroma with hints of dark fruits. Sweet flavor with hints of chocolate, caramel and raisin. Sweet and a little thin finish with no bitterness.
