Bottle, 10C. Dark brown with a tan head that fades to a coat. Aroma of bread, mocha, licorice.Thinnish. Quite sweet with more molasses than roasted flavours. Bread crusts. Not a lot of bitterness but a little drying at the end. Roast creeps up. Plain but OK.

On tap. Süßlich-caramelliges Schwarzbier. Kaum Herbe, keine Lakritze. Süffig-mild, karamellig süßlich im Nachgeschmack mit einem Hauch von Röstmalz. Schade.

Keg at Zum Alten Fritz, Rostock, 17/07/15. Light black, moderate beige covering. Nose is light charr, dark fruits, raisens, cocoa rub, malt. Taste comprises dark fruit, raisen, cocoa, toffee, malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok schwarze.

Thick, dark brown to almost completely black, medium tan lasting head. Aroma is of strong caramel and nuttiness with some light toast and coffee notes. Taste is moderate sweet caramel, melano, nuts, roasted malt and some coffee in the finish. Medium bodied and somewhat creamy.
