The Gauloise Ambrée is characterized by a hoppy aroma. It will give you a range of varied flavors. It is highly digestible and refreshing. This beer with its reddish robe is a little more dense than the blonde, with a more voluptuous side. The nose is marked with hints of hazelnut, caramel, orange and fruity hops. The mouth’s slight bitternes linked to the subtle liquorice, allows the pleasure to last longer. The finish is round, supple, without sweetness.

Bottle from Lidl. There is a strong fruitiness along with medium levels of phenolic yeast character - trippel kind of spice mix with light green apple. Moderate caramelly maltiness. Rather dry, which makes the perceived body medium-low. High carbonation. Drinkable, rather average for me though.

At Bruges Beer Fest 2017. Pours clear amber with a minimal white head. The aroma contains malts and caramel, and is slightly metallic. It tastes light sweet and light bitter. Short finish, thin texture, fizzy carbonation. Not complex and not very tasty. Reminds me of a pale ale.

Bottle at Erzbierschof Monday Club. Typical malt aromas, caramel and toffee. Highly crisp carbonation with a sweet touch, but that’s about all it offers to the tongue and palate.

Hatalmas, tartós, piszkosfehér hab, félbarna szín. Illata nagyon intenzív, citrusos, virágos. Citrusos, enyhén fűszeres, közepesen kesernyés ízvilág, közepes szénsavassággal. Közepesen testes, kifejezetten friss, és frissítő, finom itóka.

(Bottle, Delirium Café, 17 Oct 2015) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of toast, orange peel and apricots. Malty taste with crisp-bread, orange peel, apricots, a gentle touch of ginger and a mild spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.

Deep amber colour with orange notes, perfect creamy head. Nose of malts, spicy yeast, some grassy hop. Medium body. Malty taste of rather dry character with notes of grains, candy, some spice, notable amount of hops in ending. Quite pleasant
