Bottle. Color: Clear amber, white head. Taste: Over medium sweet, malty, pretty strong notes of bubblegum and candy sugar and hints of yeast. Bit metallic. Long lasting sweet malty, bit unpleasant finish with light bitterness and very light citrus hints. Not my style...

Pours rather clear blonde, small white head. Smell is unfresh malts. Taste is metallic, malts, but not very good at all. Super metallic in the finish, as well as some sweetness.

250 ml. draft @ Gollem. Near clear amber, creamy collapsing uneven tanned head. Nose is big sweetness, lots of soap & very sweet bubblegum-like malt, sweet leaves, low herbal, big sugar & soap. Taste is weird, massive sweetness, bubblegum & soap, cheap honey and cooked apple, weird sweet sugar, butterscotch, sweet leaves… Overly sweet, sugary, strange with big soap & bubblegum. This is the kind of Belgian inspired beers that used to dominate the Dutch beer scene, quite cartoonish creation many times approaching mediocre to poor Belgian beer. This is rather irrelevant & I am quite surprised to see this in Belgium even in a Dutch owned bar.

Oerol. De Rustende Jager om 2.00 uur ’s nachts. Prima fris blond bier, vleugje citroen en lekker zoet zacht moutige dronk. Backlog from 2015/06/19.
