33cl bottle. A slightly hazy dark golden beer with a huge most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of citrusy bitter hops, wheat malt, some banana and spices. Taste of spices, wheat malt, citrusy hops, some banana, medium carbonation.

Drucken på fat på Malmö bryghus belgofestival. En klassisk riktigt bra saison som är lätt jordig och stramt örtig, krispig och frisk. Mycket gott.

[ As En Stoemelings La Tanteke ].Clear medium yellow orange colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, light to moderate hoppy, fruity hops, moderate to heavy yeasty, saison yeast, fruity yeast, spicy yeast, fruity. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, fruity yeast, saison yeast, spicy yeast, fruity, peppery. Rather cloudy orange beer, big creamy irregular yellow head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very fruity, lots of banana, yeast. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty bitter, banana, fruity, yeast, more banana, slightly sweet, hoppy. Aftertaste: yeast, fruity, some green apples, bit sourish, malty, more banana.

Anniversary beer by one of Brussels' 'nouvelle vague' micro brewers, dedicated to the Berg van Barmhartigheid, nicknamed 'tanteke' - the story, unknown to me, is elaborately explained on the label. Medium thick, lightly lacing, egg-white, moussy head, stable and largely closed most of the time, crowning an initially cristal clear, warm pale orangey-tinged 'old gold' coloured beer, misty and deeper peachy with sediment. Bright and sweetish nose of banana mush, orange zest, camomile, kumquat, custard, fried apples, honey, mandarin peel, yellow kiwi, straw, ginger powder, coriander seed, bread crumbs, dried field flowers, melon. Fruity onset, mild banana ester mixed with nectarine, fresh apple and green melon notes, sweetish with a sourish edge, spritzy carbonation (perfect for the intended style), supple, lean, bit oily mouthfeel. Mellow sweetbread- and breakfast cereal-like malt body, sweetish but soon bittered by a confident, elegant, refinedly zesty, floral hoppiness, spicy and leafy on the root of the tongue, with camomile flower- and white pepper-like accents, quite long and drying; lingering fruitiness and maltiness in a relatively 'clean' way. Technically perfectly executed, elegant, juicy and lean saison in a very classically Belgian way, ticking all the boxes for the style, if Dupont and the like are to be taken as the standard. Very well done, better than expected really, based on previous experiences with this brewery.

Draft at Moder Lambic. Hazy golden color dense white head with good retention. Aroma of pepper and dust. Taste is lightly peppery hay, straw fruit. Tasty.
