Why is this on Ratebeer? It’s not RateCider for fuck sake! 0.33 bottle in Palma, Sutivan, island of Bra?, Croatia. This is a cherry juice, not a cider. Had to put a shot of gin in it to make it drinkable.

Sampled from a 12 oz clear bottle this cider poured bright candy red with no head and no lacing. The aroma was peach, berry and apple. The flavor was sugar, peach, berries and apple - a bit tart. Long finish. Medium body. Tasty.

300ml bottle in Hotel room in Kranjska Gora. red clear color. small pinkish head. smells cherries, cheap wine, wash cloth, smells also a bit medical, light notes of apple, some sweetness, berry like. light body, rather bubbly, bubbly / light sticky mouthfeel. tastes of syrup, sweetness, some apples, notes of wine, lightly citric, (artificial taste of) berries. acidic / sweet finish. OKish

Bottle at Tesco at Miskolc. Aroma dominated by strawberries, apples in background, if any. Clear deep red colour. Taste is again featuring mostly strawberry. Sweet up front, finishes with carefully calculated amount of citric acid. Better approached as a soft drink, cider resemblances lost. Balance of flavour OK however.

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 28B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown. AROMA: distinctive syrupy strawberry aroma with a very faint apple character. artificial. APPEARANCE: brilliant red colour. TASTE: extremely sweet and artificial flavours with strong strawberry flavour. PALATE: thin body with low carbonation. OVERALL: unbalanced cider towards an artificial strawberry flavour.
