The Flemish Ardennes also have their own wheat beer. On the nose, this cloudy wheat beer smells of citrus, coriander and other herbs, with a refreshing bitter-sweet flavour and subtle bitterness in the finish. You can taste the sun in your glass. The perfect beer for a sunny day or for a pleasant daydream.

Bottled. Hazy pale yellow colour, minor white head. Hayish malty and yeasty aroma. Hay, whear with some hops, yeast and fruit in flavour.

Bottled. Clear pale golden. Sweet with some banana and cookie malt. Rounded mouthfeel, and completely void of the typical citrus/coriander flavour. Malty(?!) finish. A susprisingly neutral witbier.

(Bottle 25 cl) Typical hazy, pale yellow beer with a very white head. Pleasant but not as spiced, aromatic and interesting as some of the best witbiers. 210499

Pale hazy yellow, not much head (small white). Sourish, wheaty nose. Light to meidum-bodied. Wheat is mixed with light spices but more feeling with this is like German hefeweizen (not witbier).

Very pale gold, slim rim of white head. Vague coriander nose, perfumey, no citrus. Coriander flavour, not very outspoken, but then, there’s nothing else. Used to be more bitter, I’m sure. Ends in nothing but - right, coriander. Light, spices give more impression than the grist added. Disappointing, has gone down from what I remember.
