Tap at Eeuwige Jachtvelden. Hazy golden with white head. Sweet overripe banana, grainy, sinterklaasschuimpjes. Over medium sweet, light bitter. Medium body, low carbonation.

Flesje gedeeld met TomHendriksen. Oranje-geel, licht troebel bier met veel schuim. Aroma van mout en fruit. Smaak is citrusachtig en ietsje hoppig. Nasmaak is licht bitter.

300 ml. (yeah) bottle @ home. BBF 23 02 2017. Sparkling hazy golden, huge whipped pure white head. Nose is massive extreme fish guts banana weizen, very sweet, plastic & bit artificial, overly plastic & chemical sweet. Fizzy plastic, rather empty, fish guts, very sweet plastic, very sweet plastic banana, chemical, bitter plastic & faint tablet finish, sickeningly sweet, plastic banana puree. Extremely, sweet plastic & industrial, pretty much what you would expect. Bad soda qualities as well. Unpleasant empty heavy papper finish, not a fan of this like an awful soda in some ways.

Very good, ultra fine and dense, just yellow tinted head over hazy orange-golden beer. Banana, but also solvent/acetone. Clove too, estery, yeasty. More perfumey, and certainly sweeter in the mouth. No more solvent, just a point of sulphur, and lots and lots of bananamush. Wheat provides a pinch of acidity in the finish, but generally pretty sweet for a Hefe. Very creamy texture, maybe partly due to the very stable head. Feels medium bodied and lots of wheatslickness. Not very interesting.

Bottle from an Albert Heijn supermarket - sold by two in a carton box, never saw this kind of packaging before. Thick, creamy, beaten egg-like head, very regularly shaped, over a misty peach blonde beer. Aroma is heavily impaired with strong DMS (sulfuric cooked cauliflower), the first thing that springs to the nose, and I passionately hate DMS; after this onslaught fades away a bit, I get friendlier hints of, unsurprisingly, banana bread and banana-flavored candy, canned apricot, powder sugar, sugarloaf, clove, strawberry, honey, tulips, caramel, metal cans, freshly cut pear, pineapple, starch and something ’cooked’ - it seems this beer was made industrially, pasteurized, and then made hazy again with ’artificially’ added starch, much like AB InBev does with Hoegaarden. Spritzy, sweetish onset, a truckload of banana and banana-flavored bubblegum to the point where it becomes ridiculous and covers all other aspects, though a certain gooseberry sourishness is present below. Supple, smooth, creamy body, soapy and very softly sourish wheat malt plus light bready barley sweetishness, bit metallic, starch-like effect at the back along with clove-like flavors and a floral aspect, translating itself in a very brief and volatile bitterish touch all the way at the back. Simplified and industrialized interpretation of the style - unsurprisingly, since this brewery has been owned by SAB Miller since 2008. I have a strong suspicion that this was filtered and pasteurized, and that only afterwards carbonation and haziness (achieved with starch) was added. The Dutch strongly associate German Weissbier with banana flavor and that is completely justified, but this one makes a caricature out of it. And do not get me started on the DMS.

33cl bottle. Hazy bright golden with a thin white head. Smells like bananas, yeast and spices. The taste follows the same notes, making this a pretty decent hefeweizen. Feels a bit watery, though.

Hazy pale golden colour, good white frothy head, good retention. Aroma of banana, yeast, orange, coriander, some cloves, citrus. Taste medium sweet and light sour, hint of bitterness, fruity, yeasty. Light body, creamy texture, buttery mouthfeel, lively carbonation; light sweet and sour finish, okay.

Hefig bananiger, ein wenig süßer Antrunk. Hell würzig, süffig, der Fokus liegt auch im Mittelteil auf der Bananigkeit. Spritzig. 8/10/9/9/9/9
