From tap at bir and fud. Pours slight cloudy deep orange with a minimal offwhite head. Mild fruity and hoppy to slight spiced aroma. Light yeasty flavoured with a hoppy touch. Bitter and medium dry into the finish. Phenolic from back of the nose into the far finish.

Draught, 7.0% at the brewpub. Good fruity hop aroma. Cloudy amber colour. Big stable red tan head. Good mouthfeel. The flavour is nicely malty, good fruitiness, seems to come from the hops.

Hopfig-malziger Antrunk, aromatisch. Etwas karamellig, weiter recht hopfig mit gutem Malzanteil. Die Hopfigkeit bleibt konstant und zieht Bitterkeit mit sich. Harmonisch, kräftig, gelungen. Test vom 13.8.2008, Gebinde: Fass Noten: 12,11,11,12,-,12 - 11,68

Draught Huge topped-up, brownish head, over dark chestnut beer with, indeed, a purple shine. Lots of caramel, toffee, liqueurish, sweet bread, like a Bock. Warming up, I get more dark candi sugar. First dry taste, leafy, then sweet-bready, going over again to dry, rather toasted taste. Caramel seeps in, making up for a very malty beer indeed. A bit of Valerian retronasal. Gives a probably exaggerated full bodied impression, slick, viscous nearly, but in fact, the beer is a bit thin, really. Good amber ale, for lovers of a good malt dose.

Red-amber color, creamy head. Light malt and cherry aroma. Good body structure, enough malty, a bit yeasty.
