This tentacled terminator packs a punch - ten punches to be precise. Each hop addition adds to the intense layers of depth in this red rye IPA. Toasty caramel & cinder toffee from crystal malts, cacao richness from intensely roasted malt and the spiciness of rye. Zesty pithiness from citra and the robust resin of chinook. This small batch exclusive brew is up-front intensity matched with twisted complexity.

First bottle of the new year! Pours dark red with little head. Aroma is rather mild, spicy, rye is noticeable, hoppy in an earthy and herbal way. Deep and even a bit boozy aroma. Light-medium mouthfeel. Flavour is also rather mild, rye gives it a nice spicy feel though. Hops is very nice and beer is quite bitter, with a medium long finish which is my favourite part, full of pine and earthy hops but beautifully balanced with the malt base.

Can at Taps Beer Bar, Changkat, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy reddish amber with a frothy white head and some broken lace. The aroma is yeast, marmalade orange citrus. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, light sweet with a smooth slightly watery, light malt, fruity, light metallic hop bitter, light spice palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Loved the artwork on the can.

(330ml can shared @ VilleValla Pub, Linköping, Sep 19 2016, BB Dec 2016) Pours clear dark copper with persistent off white head and lace. Aroma is lots of caramel, spicy rye, stewed fruit, marmalade, bittering hops, a bit tinny. Flavour is rather sweet with caramel, rye bread, peppery, malt forward, slight sweet citrus, pine, bittering hop, tinny metallic. Medium bodied, average carbonation. Nice rye character is what saves this beer, obvious hop fade over time hasn’t helped much though.
