1000ml bottle. Minimally cloudy, dark chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Dark and caramel malty aroma, notes of dark caramel, malt lozenge, minimally nutty overtones, a fruity hoppy touch of plum and cherry. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel and dark malty, notes of dark caramel, malt lozenge, fruity hoppy hints of cherry and plum, Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, mildly prickly carbonation.

Bottle. Clear dark brown/ruby with a very small and short lived beige head. Some lacing. Aroma of red fruits, malts and milk chocolate. Taste follows aroma with a slightly sour note. Moderate bitterness. Low carbonation. Very balanced. Nice mouthfeel. Will be on the lookout for this one in the future. Ace.

Bottle sample @ RBBWG 2016, thanks Jan, 1L flip top.

1.0 l bottle from ’Holy Craft Beer Store’ (Düsseldorf) at RBBWG 2016 in Antwerpen, 2015 version, best before March 2016. Clear, dark brownish amber with a tan head. Sweetish-malty aroma of caramel, brown sugar and nuts. Sweetish-malty taste of caramel, brown sugar and nuts, followed by a short, slightly bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel. Okay, quite monotonous.

Sampled from bottle @ Ratebeer Belgian Winter Gathering 2016. Dark brown color with a red glare coming through when held into the light. Smell and taste malts, nice lightly grainy touch, straw, hayish, nice bitter finish. Decent to medium body and carbonation. Basic, but pleasant beer.

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks really good. Beer in the glass dark brown, nice head. Starts strong, not too alcoholic. Intense malty, light sourish. Light bitter background. Hints of chocolate. Finish a bit boring-malty. But still quite drinkable. Not bad!
