75 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark red with a pink head, not lasting. Aroma is distinct barnyard mixed with smooth cherry notes. No almondish elements. Smooth brettish, cherri and light citric flavoured. Velvet smooth actually. Nice cherry and vague citric finish with a lingering dry brettish note into the far finish.

Re-rate 12/29/11: Bottle shared at a tasting at my place. Bought the bottle at the Moriau cafe in 2009. If I remember correctly, the bottle should be about 5-6 years old now. Hazy deep red color with a bit of pinkish foam. Aroma of sour cherries, cobwebs, citrus and some barnyard. Sour cherry flavor with some lemony notes and light touches of fruity sweetness. Slick mouthfeel. Great-tasting and refreshing. 8/4/8/4/17=4.1

[9/6/09] A few years-old bottle at a Moriau cafe, I think it’s in Sint-pieters-leeunw. Served by the actual Moriau steeper/blender. Dark unclear ruby color with a beige-pinkish head. Aroma of cherries and some cellar quality. Sour earthy flavor with cherries, lots of wood and some sweeter fruity notes. Light astringency in the finish. Medium-bodied. A great Kriek. 8/4/8/3/16=3.9

Bottle, 75cl corked, shared by KimJohansen at Copenhagen Beerfestival. Unknown vintage. Thx a lot Kim. It pours a hazy, orange-red body under a small, creamy, off-white head. Cherries, some almond and white sugar in the aroma, unusual but nice. The flavor has cellar in the background, some sweetness, cherry, almond and a nice balancing sourness. Pleasant slightly sourish, palate cleansing moutfheel. A nice one, really balanced and quenching. (090517)

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of KimJohansen. Pours a hazy amber golden with a creamy light brown head. Very fresh and tart cherry aroma. Medium body with a very soft mouthfeel, a little low in carbonation with sweet’n’sour cherry accents. Lightly tart finish. A real treat - a very, very pleasant and balanced Kriek. 300509

Bottle, courtesy of Hildigöltur – shared with reakt and larsga at Plan B, Copenhagen. Deep, red-brown body under light reddish foam. Plain cherry aroma. Rounded and smooth flavour of bittersweet cherry. Very refreshing, in despite of not being my kind of style (15.09.2008).

Small pinkish head. Deep ruby red body with vigorous carbonation and fruit particles. Highly unusual aroma. Fruity wooden cherry yoghurt aroma, thin and mild. Dry-sweet wooden cherry taste, quite tart. Thin-bodied. Dry-tart wooden cherry aftertaste. Nice, mellow. (0.75l bottle given by Hildigöltur at plan b, Copenhagen. This is the last batch from the Moriau brewery, before they were bought by Boon, back in 2000/2001.)
