Nancy is a tart ale that brings local cherries together with Brettanomyces yeast. The beer is brewed onto a blend of Maine-grown Balaton and Montmorrency cherries. It ferments for over a year in a stainless steel tank with the cherries and Brettanomyces. Copper in color, Nancy’s flavor is a medley of citrus, cherry, and pie spice, with a hint of graham cracker. The finish is dry and refreshingly tart.

Bottle at home in NH. Pours mostly clear red-gold with a small, foamy white head. Lightly sweet with impressions of tart cherries, restrained acidity, a little woody dryness. Light bodied with spritzy carbonation. Clean finish, more tart cherry, berries. Nice.

Bottle at home picked up from CW online. A light hazed peachy pink coloured pour with a effervescent pinky white head that fades to a whisp. Aroma is nice fresh crisp rose petal, light raspberry, soft bretty funk, wheat, some fruit stalks. Flavour is composed of tart and crisp sourness, yogurt pinch, delicate raspberry, cherry, bready grains, crisp, delicate brett. Palate is super crisp, light, frothy airy carbonation, tart finish. Lovely.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madhoose. It pours clear pinkish - red with a soft, fluffy white head. The aroma is funky barnyard action, lovely brett, zingy, juicy tangy cherry, cherry pie, jam, oak and a nip of spice. The taste is crisp, dry, zingy, bright, sherbet, puckering, sour cherry, nip of acidity, cherry pie, light vanilla, bakewell tart, funky action, damp oak, barnyard, brett and sour cherry candy with a drying, funky finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Lovely stuff. Rounded and crazy drinkable.

375 mL bottle from Beer Run, opened to celebrate my 10 year anniversary on Ratebeer! Hazy pink-orange, large fizzy tan head, decent retention. Aroma of brett, funk, pepper, jammy cherries. The taste is vanilla, brett, funk, tart cherries, cherry pie filling. Medium bodied, high carbonation. Nice. Mild lingering tartness.
