Thank you for sharing people! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ “Gouda Winterbier Festival 2016”. Dark brown. Nose is watery herbal, dull sugar herbs, candy. Taste is very watery, herbal leaves, soap, very weak & watery. Not a fan.

From bottle at Winterbierfestival Gouda 2016. Clear, brownish amber. Sweetish-malty aroma of caramel, brown sugar and nuts. Sweetish-malty taste of caramel, brown sugar and nuts, followed by a short, slightly bitter finish. Medium to full body, creamy to oily mouthfeel, flat. Nice!

Bottle sampled at Winterbierfestival Gouda. Slight hazy dark brown with small off white head. Lots of brown sugar, caramel, light maple syrup (the cheap kind). Very sweet and very light bitter finish. Over medium bodied. It’s not flawed, but it’s yet another sweet boring winter beer. Zzzzz.

Tap @ Hazeburg, 2013 version, medium sample. Slight hazy brown color, short frothy head. Aroma of caramel and toffee, bit spicy, bit cookie, hint of port and madeira, sugary sweetness, touch of chocolate. Bit sweet in taste, caramel and toffee. Some aged notes. Quite sweet, but the 2 year old developed quite well. Nice stuff.

Sampled at PINT Winterbierfestival Gouda, 2015. Murky dark brown color, average sized beige head. Aroma is malts and pretty sweet. Taste malts, sweet, a hint of wood, slightly alcoholic. Average to medium body and average carbonation. Hmm drinkable but not great.
