Tasting glass draft @ Van Moll Brewpub. Black, creamy solid mocha head. Nose is creamy powdery mocha & cheap chocolate. Taste is cheap chocolate, instant chocolate milk, candy, herbal, powdery. Powdery & grainy body. Okay, decent but nothing outstanding. Expected more to be honest.

27th May 2015: on tap at the Carlsbad Pizza Port. Very dark, maybe black, the head cream coloured. Malts and plenty of them. Nose is all about chocolate and coffee esters, as is the taste with an added liquorice stick for good measure. The roasted barley does the trick here, a very easy drinking Stout full of flavour and depth.
