17-03-18 // bottle found at an persian supermarket in Frankfurt, Germany. Not to bad for a malt beer, it is acutally not to sweet as many others. Iran checked! --- Beer merged from original tick of Malt on 18 Mar 2018 at 00:34 - Score: 3. Original review text: Iran 🇮🇷! Check ✅

320ml bottle, a gift from Shirley, a cycling friend who spent two weeks on her bike in Iran. Shared with four others at the monthly beer exchange in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury; 30th Jan 2018. I love my obscure country ticks. Dark amber pour, weak off-white wispy head. Malty and very sweet. As mat says below, Ovaltine like drink really with extra sugar.

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, courtesy of Jeremy and his cycling friend. Many thanks. Pours a clear amber, light mist, small foamy off-white head. Ovaltine aroma. Taste has some Ovaltine, moderately sweet grainy malt. Surprisingly drinkable. Had worse (looking at you Egypt!)

Beers of the World country 91: Iran 🇮🇷

"The beer is brown in colour. It starts of tasting sweet before quickly moving over to a bittersweet malty taste and ends of on a weird taste that makes it nearly impossible to drink for me. Took a couple of sips to cross of another country but nothing more…" - beersoftheworldproject.wordpress.com

Bought in a Persian minimart on the Hageley Rd, whilst I waited for me pizza. Really would be better off rating this on ratecola.com. It reminds me of one of those trad colas you can get from smaller producers. Or shops own brand. Drinkable but its not like drinking a beer.

Bottle with thanks to Nikos! Country 102. Pours a flat clear Amber, no head or lacing. Aroma is wort, malt sugars, toffee, grain. Flavor is medium plus sweet, no bitterness, like a flat malt soda. Medium body, no carbonation. Kinda gross.

Thx! for sharing DutchDrebus. 320 +/- 5 ml. (I kid you not!) bottle sampled @ ZZT XIII. Bizarre clear pale brown amber with zero head. Nose is this syrup bizarre awful medicinal sugar, watery with some dark bread. Taste is thin syrupy medicinal, hugely watery artificial syrup with watery bread. Very thin & watery. Awful. Like a really bad soda. Really, really bad though. No wonder people in Iran drink stuff like bootleg Heineken etc. when they go for beer plus illegal homebrew as well (likely).
