A colablack beer with a huge and light brown head. The nose is strongly roasted, dry smoke, chalk and hint of salt liquirice. The strong flavours even the alc. % is this low. Taste of liquirice, smoke, some chalk, roasted coffee. After the aroma the taste is too short and light. Light bodied, too much of carbonation. Not very convincing, the appearance and aroma promises a lot, but after that too light at every way, unfortunately. Smoked and roasted, light porter.

Bottle 500ml (K-Kamppi, sampled in Buenos Aires)
Dark brown color, big cloudy brown head, lace. Aroma has toasted malts, tobacco, some peat and vegetables lurking. Light-bodied, active carbonation. Toasted malty, have some sweetish licorice and peat notes. Peat makes this interesting enough. Probably needs to be drinken quite fresh.

500ml bottle from K-Supermarket Kamppi

Pours pitch black with a large foamy head. Aroma of roasted malts, hints of earthy notes, tar, dark chocolate and berries. Taste is smooth, slightly malty and roasty with nutty earthy notes, hints of tar and berries. Finish is sweetish, nutty and earthy with hints of yeastiness and tar. Decent porter, feels quite heavy for the ABV

Bottled (from K Citymarket Kivihaka, Vaasa). More or less black colour, with a huge brown head (bottle was a bit lively when opening). Aroma is caramel malts, mild ripe fruits, some rather toasted notes along with some tar. Flavour is roasted malts, ashes, some tar as well as some mild bitterness to it. Tasty and quite bodied beer for this abv amount.

Tap at Villi Waino, Helsinki. Colour is black with small slightly brownish white head. Aromas and flavours: Tar, smoke and sweetness. Quite strong body for this ABV but one-dimensional.

Tap @ villi wäinö. Deep brown, thin brown head. Smoky aroma, tar, roastedness, slight artificisl feel to it. Flavor is similar with tar really present. Tervapastilli candy. Thin body. Higher abv and this could be really tasty.

Draught @ Black Door
Aroma is oaty with some tar notes, hay and coffee. Almost no carbonation. Flavour has tar, licorice and some coffee. Nice, but could work better with higher ABV.

50 cl bottle @ home as ”Rekolan Ruukin Terva”
Nice tar-fulfilled aroma with licorice. Flavour has English toffee, some tar, licorice and hints of ash. Nice, but a bit watery. Also the English aromas do not fit here completely. 7+4+7+2+13=3.3

(Keg at Black Door, 2013122) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had tar, smoke and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were smoke, tar, sweetness, ash, burnt malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was smoky, ashy and bitter. A balanced but a bit too burnt brew.
