Can pour at Southern Grist 3rd Anniversary. Pours a clearish orange gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Tropical fruit with mango and pineapple coming on strong with some citrus and apricot / peach as it warms. More of the same on the palate with some pine, dankness. Lingering pithy bitterness on the finish.
02/12/19, That's a fruity pebble non hazy if I've ever had one, classic hop notes hit the nose and front, fruits throughout the back, nice sweet finish.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/15/2018. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy medium golden/amber color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, red grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, cracker, white bread dough, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, sticky/resinous/rindy, and fairly crisp balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is an awesome DIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth, easy, and fairly crisp to drink with modestly bitter/resinous/drying finish, not overly aggressive. Very well attenuated for the ABV. Great Cascade, Citra, Columbus, Ella, Mosaic profile. Great mix of juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; nice oat/malt backbone, minimal residual sweetness from crisp resin dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and spot on west coast style example.

Combined rating from draft taster pour at The Grill Next Door (11/18) and can (12/19) from Harvest Wine & Spirits. Appearance is opaque light brown/dark yellow (like a dark grapefruit juice) [taster pour] (clear dark yellow can pour), no discernible sparkle, thin cap of off-white head with fair retention and light lacing across the top of the glass. Aroma is scallion herb with grapefruit and milder pine [draft] (vanilla, mix of mild and sweet fruit and sweet grains--can). Taste is as aroma along with some cracker malts and light citrus [draft] (vague fruit, sweet bread bordering on caramel malt and grapefruit--can). Palate is medium bodied with thick, frothy, smooth texture with average-to-lively carbonation [draft] (soft carbonation--can) and dry, grapefruity finish [draft] (as taste with lingering moderate bitterness--can). Overall, the reputation led me to believe this was going to be transcendant--it was simply very, very good [draft] (can was malty and bitter without a lot of hoppy flavor). Either this is just very good on draft and loses something considerable in a can, or this was reworked in the last year--not for the better. (Draft--7,4,8,4,16--3.9; Can--3,6,7,4,13--3.3)

Can, thansk Gregg! Nice orange golden pour with some white foam. Just a bit cloudy, no real haze. Fruity and tropical with a good hop marmalade addition. Taste is dry and lots of hops, tropical base, orange and grapefruit, lots of citric notes plus tropical sweetness. Some booze coming out in the finish. Good, maybe a bit old school-ish.

Slightly hazy nose. Over ripe mangoes and apricots. Full body, modest bitterness. Apricots, peaches, slightly astringent but ok. Everything was good but just ok.

On tap at Tip Tap Room, pours a cloudy golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out rich piney hops, some resins and stone fruits. Flavour follows through, with robust piney hops, some resins and light stone fruits. Fruity and piney. Excellent.
