Tap at Oproer. Bordeaux red coloured with an offwhite head. Nose is sour cherries, caramel, raspberries. Flavour is caramel, dark fruits, raspberries, vinegar. Some sourness, with a fruity sweetness. Nice.

Sampled from tap at ’Stoom’. Hazy, dark reddish brown with a thin, creamy, tan head. Sweetish-sourish, fruity aroma of caramel, cherries, vinegar, red grapes and brown sugar. Sweetish-malty, sourish and fruity taste of caramel, vinegar, cherries, red grapes and almond, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, rather tart finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Quite good!

Sampled @ Pint Winterbierfestival Gouda, 2016. Murky brown color, average sized off-white head. Aroma is horrible sweaty feet, unripe red fruit, tea. Taste is fortunately a bit better, decent raspberry flavor and red fruit tart. Decent body and carbonation. Not good.

Small sample from bottle @ PRZH Winterbiertickfest (2016). Murky, dark brown color. Beige head. Aroma’s: fruit, sweet&sour, tea. Retronasal it’s fruit, berries, raspberries. Flavor is sweet and moderate sour. Medium bodied. Quite likeable actually.

Tap at Winterbierfestival Gouda. Hazy reddish brown with beige head. Sour red fruits, Roosvicee, bitter grape skins, wood, bitter vegetables, light oxidized almond notes. Under medium sour and bitter with some underlying sweetness. Medium bodied with fizzy carbonation. Has nothing to do with a saison, but a decent sour red/brown.

Thank you for sharing people! Sampled draft @ “Gouda Winterbier Festival 2016”. Dark red brown with little head. Nose is sour spoiled red berries, funk, light vinegar,… Nose is okay, mildly promising. Taste is a letdown, weird murky sugary candy with low sour spoiled components, fermenting red berries,… Fizzy & a bit hollow. Feels like this could have been a decent Oud Bruin but it falls short. Too bad.

Pint Winterbierfestival, Gouda 2016. Gedeeld met de ratebeer clan! bruin met beige kraag. hmmm ’t komt vrij zuur binnen voor een saison, mout, fruitig. Smaken zijn medium zuur, licht zuur, licht bitter, framboos, mout en wat kruidigen, medium body, zwakke co2, zure saison, had een zoete verwacht ivm de framboos..
