12 ounce bottle from State Line Liquors. Pours a clear golden color with unappetizing looking floaties. Thin head with poor retention and decent lacing. Aroma of corn flakes... grain, corn and not much else. Taste is a muddled mess of grain, grass and skunk. Really all over the place, and none of it good. Thin bodied.

Can, courtesy of Philippe (Bov), thanks for the new country!
Cloudy blond color; frothy head. Strange aroma, paper and some citrus fruits. Common lager, with a light wheat character and light sourness. Correct bitterness. As a Lager, it’s a failure, as a Wheat it’s about average.

27/09 0.5 l can of such a good quality it was pierced by an ordinary cork from a glass bottle on an Albanian road near Tirane. Smell of some fine sweetish malt and grains in our car warned us something’s wrong, so we actually found out for the accident and stopped by to get rid of it. Flavor was not bad either, well balanced between grassy hops and some floral malt. Quite thin bodied though. Shorter, slightly bittersweet finish. Well, I expected crap, but got passable pale lager, better than many others.

Bottle, shared by yespr. Clear, maybe a bit pale, golden, with a white head. Malty and grainy aroma. The flavor has a malty sweetness and grainyness, and it feels quite thin in the mouth. Not a good beer, but it’s not bad either. Not a beer I will miss. (071005)

33 cl bottle. "Best By 01/04/07." Another benefit from the fall of Communism: the chance to tick beers from tiny socialist republics. Even assuming the "Best By" date is April, with the European dating, that’s still a long time to be left on the shelf. Or did it just now get to the shelf? Either way, the green bottle doesn’t help its case.
Big skunky nose when opened. Manages a decent gold pilsener color under a white, rocky head. Once in the glass, I can catch some slightly oxidized hops. Grainy malt taste and decent bitterness, but here comes that skunky smell again. Finished this one off mercifully quick and would not have ever thought of it again had I not been taking these notes.

(Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Clear, golden with a white head and a small, rough, white head. Some odd coffeeish accents. Light body, notes of brewing cereal and cardboard. The finish is lightly hoppy. 051007

Bottled (BB 02/2008)
Golden color, small white head. Strange aroma of tobacco. Unoffensive, harsh-malty lager. Quite watery, but with some ashy hops. New beer country!
